The purpose of this training is to discuss child growth and the general principles of a healthy diet. Additionally, this presentation will cover the nutrition and feeding challenges commonly found among children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
Presenter Andrea Heyman, MS, RD, CSOWM, LDN is a nutritionist with Kennedy Krieger Institute specializing in weight management. She is interested in developing materials and methods to help individuals with disabilities engage in implementing healthy eating habits.
