Caring and responsive parent-child relationships help children to thrive in school and life. Goal Two of the Maryland Early Childhood Family Engagement Toolkit states: Family engagement initiatives should promote positive parent-child relationships. Providers can promote parent-child relationships in specific ways that value, support and respect the child and family.
