Here’s the challenge: Can you make a balloon-powered car that moves by itself with simple supplies like a bottle, balloons, straws, wheels, a push pin, a dowel, and tape? Watch the video to explore the science behind how it works (hint: think kinetic energy) and then follow the link to see how to make this cool car! Sign up to receive a kit that has the supplies! Watch the video on the library’s Facebook page on the day of the event.
When registering for this event please indicate which library branch, you prefer to pick up your kit. You will be notified when your kit is ready for pickup at your requested branch. All kits will be ready for pickup by the program date. Video tutorials will be posted to the Washington County Free Library’s Facebook the afternoon of the program event. Each kit will also contain a printed instruction sheet with directions on finding the video tutorials. For the event site, click here.
