Summer is in the air and animals are everywhere! Bees are buzzing around the fresh flowers and babies will be starting to explore. What do you see outside? Snakes, turtles, birds, toads, and insects? Meet some of these native animals!

What is the difference between a turtle and a tortoise? What should you look for outside, such as animal signs, clues, and ecosystem indicators? What should you do if you encounter one of these backyard creatures? These are all questions that will be answered as you see and interact with some examples of our Chesapeake Bay local creatures, such as a box turtle, diamondback terrapin, snapping turtle, and even a flying squirrel! Follow up with your own backyard scavenger hunt! Register via Zoom here. For the event site, click here.
