Celebrate Hispanic Heritage with the Smithsonian Latino Center and the National Museum of American History at the Latino Art, Beats & Culture Fest, a museum-wide festival showcasing Latino music such as mambo, salsa, hip-hop, pop and reggaeton. Explore history and culture through hands-on activities, encounters with Smithsonian collections, experts and curators from the Smithsonian Latino Center, National Museum of American History, National Postal Museum, Smithsonian Folkways Recordings, and Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.
The program will also feature dance lessons, a mini film festival, and guest appearances and performances by: Chef Daniela Hurtado, Joy of Motion, DJ Daniel del Pielago, DJ Turnmix, DJ Isa, Word, Beats, Life, DJ Mambiza, Felix Contreras, DJ Dave Nada, Marlyss Simmons, Gil Gastelum, Ashley Mayor, and Carlos Rosario School.
