Event Description: Our Outreach families will join us at Playseum for a field trip to fill our heads and hearts with “Everywhere Wonder.” Each child will receive a signed copy of the hardback we will read before exploring the play space.

Event Description: Our Judy Center has partnered with the After-School Program and the Community School Coordinator to co-facilitate a Read-Across-America Event for the prekindergarten-fifth-grade classes. Community guest readers will read some of their favorite children’s books to participants. Students will then receive a free book.

Event Description: Parents are invited to have a catered breakfast featuring “Green Eggs and Ham”(with a pork alternative as well) in celebration of Dr. Seuss’s birthday and Read Across America Day. We will discuss how Seuss’ books can impact early literacy, and each family will receive a copy of the book.

Event Description: In celebration of Read Across America Day, the University of Maryland’s Athletics Department will host a fundraiser to provide prekindergarten-first classes a copy of “That’s My Friend,” a book about diversity, inclusion, and friendship. The author will also be in attendance.
