School-age children are invited to practice reading aloud with a retired certified therapy dog. This program is designed to promote reading and relieve anxiety children may have when learning to read. First-come-first-served. No registration required; no younger siblings.
Before you go, read “Furry Listeners Encourage Young Readers,” an article about Paige Hodgins’ experience reading to an 8-year-old St. Bernard-Grand Pyrenees mix named Dash.
