A trauma is a dangerous, frightening and sometimes violent experience that is often sudden. Trauma is a normal reaction that occurs in response to an extreme event. What can teachers and providers do to support children and families experiencing trauma?

For additional support, Maryland’s Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) Consultation Project is working to help child care programs and families cope with all the changes occurring due to COVID -19. IECMH services are currently being provided remotely. For more information, click here.
